  • Socio-Economic Models

    The principles and philosophies that tie together a community’s political/social and economic basis. It can be used to suppress certain people or to elevate others by granting extra capital to a favored group.

  • Special Interest Groups

    SIGs are groups of ordinary people sharing common priorities and concerns who band together to effect change. They could include people of a particular age group, gender, familial status, disability, work, or neighborhood.

  • Stores

    The common name for the supplies stocked by the Foundation within the habitats. Basic and upgraded furniture, appliances, and technology all came from Stores. Items could be ordered for pickup at specific locations on the Mercantile Floor or delivered should they be too big.

    Subsidies are the allotments of an individual’s basic needs, providing them with furnishings, clothing, personal grooming, hygiene products for both home and self and daily dietary requirements.

    Systems is a comprehensive term for everything within the computer network available to those in the habitats. This included the data, architecture and applications used by those in the habitats, which could be accessed via the interfaces.

    The name adopted for the planet of humanity’s origins after its destruction.

  • Thought, Conscious

    Conscious thoughts are the thoughts we are aware of. These thoughts are responsible for our awareness of what is about us and the choices we make with our minds and act upon. Our conscious minds represent what we think of when we ask ourselves, “Who am I?”

    A part of our minds and thoughts we are not conscious of until we think about them. Our subconscious mind influences our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

    The travel corridor, arranged around the outer wall, has airlift entrances along its concave wall on specified floors. All floors contain elevators for travel within the section arranged along its convex wall. In the middle of the corridor, a moving walkway with entrances and exits every 500 feet (152 meters).

    A small, rounded room in a gym facility capable of supporting 360 spherical video emulating a walk on the surface.

  • Treeline

    The treeline is an integral part of the outer walls’ camouflage. On every living floor, an area extending 50 feet from the wall contains deciduous trees (usually with edible nuts) and smaller evergreen trees furthest from the wall.
