Also known as: Round Robin Network, Round Robin

The ground connection between all habitats, colloquially known as the round-robin network, allowed the habitats to move electronic data between them.

It was a synchronous physical network, meaning the information could only be passed one way. It was nicknamed "round-robin" because each habitat was connected to two others, the one it received information from and the other it passed information to. Each habitat would receive and send a connection once over 24 hours, with the rest of the time spent moving received data to its place of purpose and assembling the packs of data requested from other habitats.
