Also known as: Liaison Organization

The Liaisons were created 17 years pre-catastrophe by the Foundation Board via a mandate as the population in the habitats began to be sustainable. The Board determined to create a third entity, which was neither the Foundation nor individual habitat management but an administration that focused on the people of the habitat.

In summary, the liaisons' mandate and mission were to ensure that people were seen as individuals, to focus on their individual needs, and to maintain connections between individuals in all the habitats.

The Liaisons Mandate

  • provide a forum to both air and solve grievances as they arise, which cannot be managed through the Habitat Administration’s regular channels,
  • help people find the best solution to an issue,
  • act as a conduit between the people of the habitats.

At first, the Liaison organization worked to achieve its mission goals by creating a series of offices, one on each residential floor, to serve the residents' needs.

The third goal was implemented only within each habitat, with the Liaisons becoming the tour guides and hotel operators for those recruited.

Liaison Organization

Beginning in 2017(pc) the Liaisons were organized into three groups to better serve the people of the habitats.

LCS - Liaison Community Services

With public access offices on each residential floor, the LCS helped people with issues they couldn't resolve independently.

LCO - Liaison Community Outreach

The LCO was the organizing entity within the Liaisons, interfacing with and bringing in experts and interested parties to work on the Initiatives identified by the liaisons of all the habitats as necessary to the individuals' ongoing lives.

LPR - Liaison Public Relations

A media arm of the Liaisons focusing on documentaries, newscasts and shows that explored the lives in all the habitats to work to forge that sense of connection between the habitats.
