Nguyen, Suong

A diminutive ball of energy, Suong is slightly shorter than average. She has straight black hair cut in a short shining cap that frames light golden skin and dark brown eyes. She was brought to the Shively camp as a child in late 1975 after spending months in refugee camps with her parents after fleeing Vietnam after the fall of Saigon.

She spent the rest of her childhood in Shively, marrying childhood friend Thao Nguyen in 1988. They remained on the surface until 1995 before moving into NAHE permanently. They had two children, Ted, born in 1998, and Rhonda, born in 2003.

Suong worked mainly at the Eatery, and she and her family were part of the Bona Vietnamese restaurant cooperative in Section 1.
