Louis Albitbol was born on the planet Damia, in the year 217, 1,516 years after the Catastrophe and 217 years since those under the Charter completed their move from their original planet. After his children were grown, he met Alexandra Hanlon and became the second person she entrusted with the stories of her life.
They struck a deal, where he traveled with her on her trips to the villages of Damia, as she continued to listen and tell stories of her own. He also wrote down the stories she told him; stories she hadn’t been ready to tell the last time she had felt comfortable enough with someone to tell the stories of her family and the interweavings through the history of the habitats and their return back to a surface silent but for the sounds of the sea, wind, and rain.
