Pantheism is the belief that a divine source and the universe are the same and that a divine source is represented in everything and everybody.
Polytheism refers to the worship of more than one deity.
Most neo-pagans consider themselves either hard or soft polytheists. A hard polytheist believes, works, and practices with each deity as a separate divine source. In contrast, a soft polytheist believes that each deity is a facet of the entirety of the divine source. And that when working with an individual deity, they work with their characteristics, mythology and belief to tap into the whole.
